LVX: Invocation

The twin invokers, Echo & Sphinx travel through time by invoking their memories of a fake existence, until that second reality becomes the other side of a portal each step into, leaving their world’s for each other, never actually meeting. Poltergeists in each others’ lonely homes. Neither Echo nor Sphinx really knows who came first (lol).

evocation and invocation: ya INVOKE santa by leaving cookies
then ur daudh EVOKES santa by going through a portal dressed as a sorcerer and leaves presents

Invocation, a term as mystical as the practices it encompasses, refers to the act of inviting or summoning a higher power, entity, or consciousness to manifest within or through the practitioner. This is not a possession in the traditional sense but an aligning of energies, a sacred and symbiotic union that illuminates the depths of the human soul, unraveling the profound and the ineffable.

In the context of mystical and esoteric practices, invocation is akin to shining a divine light through the practitioner, transforming them into a living nexus where the temporal and eternal dance in unison. It is a bridge between the seen and unseen, a gateway where the boundaries of self and other, mortal and immortal, are artfully and reverently blurred.

Two rituals where invocation plays a pivotal role are the Lesser Banishing Ritual of the Pentagram (LBPR) and the Star/Scar Ruby rituals. These rites, though distinct, share a core essence: the harnessing and harmonizing of energies to invoke protection, awareness, and transformation.

In the LBPR, the practitioner uses specific gestures, visualizations, and incantations to cleanse their space and self, creating a sanctified environment. Invocations within this ritual are directed at archangels and elemental forces, calling them to guard the four quarters. The practitioner becomes a conduit, a nexus where these energies converge, illuminating the physical and etheric planes with their combined radiance.

Similarly, the Star/Scar Ruby ritual, steeped in Thelemic traditions, employs invocations to manifest the divine light within the practitioner. Here, the pentagram is a central symbol, not just a geometric shape but a radiant star whose five points symbolize the harmonious union of diverse elements. The invocation is a calling to the godform or divine essence, inviting it to suffuse the practitioner with its light, wisdom, and power.

Both rituals underscore the transformative power of invocation. It’s more than a calling forth; it is an unveiling, a revelation where the practitioner is both the seeker and the sought, the observer and the observed. In this sacred space, illuminated by the invoked light, the known universe and the mysterious beyond converse, and in their dialogue, the practitioner is reborn, not just a being of flesh and bone but a radiant nexus of celestial symphony.

IAO Banishing Ritual: The Dance of Invocation and Anti-Invocation

The IAO Banishing Ritual stands distinct, a juxtaposition of forces and energies, where invocation and anti-invocation intertwine in an enigmatic dance. In the cosmos of magical practices, where rituals like LBPR and Star/Scar Ruby act as lighthouses illuminating the soul’s hidden chambers, the IAO Banishing Ritual emerges as a multifaceted gem, reflecting and refracting energies across the multiverse. If a normal banishing ritual blocks out invasive signals, we jam them, reroute them.

In this ritual, the sorceress is not just invoking the forces represented by IAO but is becoming them. She is Isis, the manifestation; Apophis, the dissolution; and Osiris, the reintegration. She is the multiverse in motion, a dance of energies where every step is an invocation and every pause, an anti-invocation. In her, the multiverse finds its voice, a symphony of forces where every note echoes the eternal dance of IAO.

IAO, an acronym drawing from the Gnostic and Hermetic traditions, represents stages of creation, transformation, and return. Each letter signifies a phase of existence – “I” for Isis, embodying birth and manifestation; “A” for Apophis, symbolizing destruction and disillusion; and “O” for Osiris, marking rebirth and reintegration. This trinity of forces is invoked and banished, a cycle of endless recreation echoing the rhythm of the universe.

The uniqueness of the IAO Banishing Ritual lies in its dual nature. It is an invocation, where the practitioner calls upon these primal forces to imbue them with their power. Yet, it is also an anti-invocation – a releasing, a letting go, an unbecoming – that aligns every channel of the multiverse to receive the operating sorceress. In this space, the practitioner is neither merely a conduit nor a destination but a dynamic participant in the universal dance of forces.

Unlike the LBPR, where archangels and elements are summoned to guard and sanctify, or the Star/Scar Ruby, where the divine light is invoked to transform, the IAO Banishing Ritual directly jacks into Source and blows out the circuit. Bam! Your own private branch of the multiverse to fuck around with.

It doesn’t just cleanse or illuminate; it destabilizes and reconfigures. It is a churning of the cosmic oceans to bring forth both the nectar of immortality and the poison of dissolution.

Every utterance, every gesture in the IAO Banishing Ritual is a stroke of the cosmic brush painting a masterpiece where creation and destruction, light and darkness, are not opposites but companions. The sorceress, in invoking and banishing, is not just opening a gateway but becoming the gateway. She is the nexus where every channel of the multiverse converges, a living grimoire where every spell and counter-spell, every invocation and anti-invocation, is inscribed.

Only through this pure force of Will shall the operation succeed: anti-invocation means the multiverse is plugged into you, as Source, and submits to match your current. Or everything fails and explodes and you have to go through the Reverse Universe and start it all over again.
